Nice gallery buddy. I was kind of drawn into it by looking at your sig. The thing is that it isnt totally true.

The first kind of religion mankind knew was shamanism. Whenever the shaman went into trance, he started drawing on cave wall. So in a way, linear drawing was an expression of a "religion" belief, well in this case, its a very crude religion. So it came after.

Language came first naturally. Even Homo-Neanderthalis(parallel to homo spien in the evolution tree) used this feature, and they had very little artistic sense.
